(MP) patients have reported increased immunopathologyA temporary increase in disease symptoms experienced by Marshall Protocol patients that results from the release of cytokines and endotoxins as disease-causing bacteria are killed. symptoms following acupuncture, which suggests some acupuncture treatments affect the immune system. While some preliminary research supports the contention that acupuncture is immunomodulatory, MP patients may use acupuncture for pain control if it is effective and does not increase other symptoms. Acupuncture is contraindicated, however, if the intent of the treatment is other than pain control.

Acupuncture is fine, and, if it gives you pain relief, you can continue it with confidence. It will not interfere with your recovery.
