The Autoimmunity Research Foundation is a California-based non-profit organization formed to conduct scientific research into the cause and cure of autoimmuneA condition or disease thought to arise from an overactive immune response of the body against substances and tissues normally present in the body and other chronic non-autoimmune diseases, and to instruct the public on subjects related to disease, useful to individuals and beneficial to the community.
