Prolotherapy

Prolotherapy (“Proliferative Injection Therapy”) involves injecting an irritant solution into joint capsules or where tendon connects to bone for the purpose of strengthening weakened connective tissue and alleviating musculoskeletal pain. The injected solution causes the body to heal itself through the process of inflammation and repair, although strong scientific evidence supporting this is lacking.

This therapy is contraindicated for patients on the Marshall Protocol (MP) for reasons that include the following:
