Home 25-D test kits

An economical method to obtain periodic testing of your 25-D levels is to use a home test kit. Results seem to be fairly reliable when shipping times to the lab are normal.

The test is: Vitamin D, 25-OH, Total (Blood) from ZRT Laboratory.

The lab is located in the U.S. but some overseas patients have ordered them and shipped the samples back overseas to the lab. One patient reported that the result given was lower than the result from the same draw given to a local lab. This may be related to the length of time in shipment or conditions during shipment.
