+MSM seems to work by promoting oxidation of infected cells. The increase in inflammation from its use may be dangerous when combined with immunopathology from the Marshall Protocol, and is therefore contraindicated – with or without with glucosamine and chondroitin.

+<blockquote>Just a word of caution about sulfur supplements, MSM in particular. You may just end up “feeding” certain bacteria in the process. From my own personal experience  with MSM supplementation prior to starting the MP and what I now know about some bacteria’s ability to reduce sulfur to hydrogen sulfide , I would not recommend MSM.  Shortly after I discontinued MSM , when I started the MP,  I experienced what I believe was a certain degree of [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydrogen_sulfide#Toxicity|hydrogen sulfide toxicity]] as my body released excess sulfur (probably through the die-off of bacteria dependent on sulfur or simply an excess of sulfur). I could not wear metallic jewelry (copper, gold or silver) without my skin turning black for over a year, one sign of hydrogen sulfide toxicity. Not to mention the fatigue, headaches, cough, brain fog I experienced while on MSM. IMHO, the potential for ill-effects with MSM supplementation far outweigh the benefits of reduction of joint pain (palliation)
