While some preliminary research supports the contention that acupuncture is immunomodulatory, MP patients may use acupuncture for pain control if it is effective and does not increase other symptoms. Acupuncture is contraindicated, however, if the intent of the treatment is other than pain control.

Acupuncture is fine, and, if it gives you pain relief, you can continue it with confidence. It will not interfere with your recovery.
